Six years in the making, HarborWalk Plaza opens 2024

TLC Family Enterprises is us! Travis, Trason, Lance, Coen and Cherise. Travis Leage  and Cherise Hansson met in college. Travis brought her to his hometown, his family has been an integral part of the Morro Bay waterfront since the 50's. Cherise fell in love with the town and together they made it their home.. In 1999 Cherise started the gift shop, Under the Sea Gallery, selling things she made and local trinkets. Under the Sea was a success and allowed them to thrive in the community. In 2005 they had their first son, Trason Leage, fourth generation Morro Bay Leage. When you check in to our hotel he most likely be the one greeting you with a smile and a helping hand for your luggage. Perhaps in the next few years his brothers, Lance and Coen will take part in the family business, until then you'll find them playing Baseball on one of our local fields.

In 2018 the future for 833 Embarcadero was uncertain, the city put the property out for Request For Proposals to any investor wanting to develop a multi-use project. Travis and Cherise put their name in the hat, proposing the building you see today. It was a long road with city, state and coastal permits, delays due to COVID, and the highest building costs California has ever seen. Now their dreams have become a reality. We hope you enjoy the property, all aspects of the project were lovingly and pain-stakingly chosen by Cherise and Travis. We look forward to many years, making HarborWalk Plaza a great experience in Morro Bay.
